I think this is for the 'younger-than-I-am' set. My biggest music problem is that WFDD stopped playing classical music and I have to listen to a Roanoke NPR station (and I changed where I sent my donation to NPR, too).

Don't the local college radio stations occassionally feaure local bands -- maybe it's the "occassional" that's not good enough. What about a low power station? I know their range is only a couple of square miles, but they don't need to be licensed and maybe a few around town might be of interest.
