Intel compiler causes programs to run slower on AMD processors

[LINK] From Slashdot, AMD is claiming in it's anti-trust suite against Intel that the Intel compiler deliberately causes programs to run slower or even crash when those same programs are run on AMD processors. All allegations can be read in the court documents.

I'm curious, who uses the Intel compiler? If this is widely used compiler, what programs could this affect?

If this compiler is used for firmware updates and the like, I could even see why the compiler would need to run differently, and this is a non-issue.

More importantly, if it's true, both that Intel does cripple programs running on AMD, and that the compiler is used for standard programs, I hope Intel get's reamed for it, and I wonder how long it will be before we hear rumors of a class action lawsuit.
